BIG Are the Champions of Funspark ULTI 2020

BIG have become the champions of Funspark ULTI 2020 after defeating Extra Salt in the tournament’s grand finals. The winners claimed $150,000 in prize money, which is by far the biggest snatch in the team’s history. Both finalists also qualified for the next event in the series.

The tournament’s final series was played in a best-of-five format with Extra Salt having a one-map advantage as an upper bracket team. The Americans managed to win the first map – Dust II – with a 16:14 score, however later BIG won three maps in a row – Train (16:13), Vertigo (16:14) and Overpass (16:14).

Funspark ULTI 2020 was played online from May 19th to 26th, featuring a $300,000 prize pool. BIG and Extra Salt qualified for Funspark ULTI 2021, a LAN-event scheduled to take place this December somewhere in China.
