BIG Are the First to Make it to IEM Global Challenge Playoffs
The German team BIG has become the first one to qualify for the playoffs stage of IEM XV – Global Challenge after placing first in Group A, where they managed to outplay Team Vitality (2-1) and Astralis (2-0).
The match for the group’s second place between Astralis and Team Vitality will be played tomorrow, on December 18th, at 3:00 PM UK time. Earlier this weekend these teams faced each other in the grand finals of BLAST Premier Fall 2020 Finals, with Vitality finishing the series in their favour with the 2-1 score.
Today the event will begin with the elimination match of Group B, where FURIA Esports will face Heroic (3:00 PM) – this will be the first time these teams play with each other. The day will conclude with the series between Natus Vincere and Team Liquid (6:30 PM), who have not faced each other since February.

Intel Extreme Masters Season XV – Global Challenge in being played online from December 15th to 20th, featuring eight teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool.
