BIG Replace Gabe with FaveN
BIG Replace Gabe with FaveN
BIG have announced few changes in their CS:GO roster. First, the organization acquired Josef "faveN" Baumann from Sprout in what they call “the most expensive deal for a German player”. To make space for him, the organization decided to bench Nicklas "gade" Gade.
21-years-old faveN has been playing CS:GO competitively since 2016, and for the last three years he has been representing another German organization, Sprout. He helped them to win two seasons of ESEA Premier Division as well as a number of ESL Meisterschaft events.
27-years-old gade, who earlier in his career played for North from 2018 to 2021, has been playing for BIG since last summer. This year has been rather unsuccessful to the German team that strives to be a tier-1 squad, as they finished 17th – 19th at PGL Major Stockholm, 7-8th at BLAST Premier: Fall Finals and 9-12th at IEM XVI – Winter.
The team felt that they needed a change since the beginning of 2022 is going to have multiple big events for them – namely, BIG are listed among the participants of Funspark ULTI 2021 in January with $300,000 at stake, of IEM XVI – Katowice in February with $1,000,000 at stake, and of ESL Pro League 15 in March with $823,000 at stake. Earlier in November the team also changed their coach.
