Borax of Team Aster to Miss the Major, Replaced by Assistant Coach Mad
The Chinese Dota 2 team Aster has departed to Singapore to participate in the major. However, the team will compete there with a stand-in – their support player Ye "Borax" Zhibiao was unable to travel due to “personal reasons” and will return to the roster after the major. He will be temporarily replaced by the team’s assistant coach Cheng "Mad" Han.
Earlier this month Team Aster managed to place 2nd in the Chinese DPC Upper Bracket, thus advancing to the major’s group stage. It is scheduled for March 29th – 30th and will feature eight teams competing in a single round-robin group with best-of-two series.
The $500,000 LAN-event ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 begins early tomorrow with the Wild Card stage. Due to coronavirus, two teams – NAVI and beastcoast – withdrew from the event, while a number of other teams, including Nigma, T1 and Quincy Crew, will compete there with stand-ins.
