Cloud9 Part Ways with HenryG
Henry "HenryG" Greer has announced that he is no longer part of Cloud9, where he used to be the general manager of their Counter Strike roster. The former CS:GO caster decided to take a break from the discipline and will be back when “the right opportunity arises”.
HenryG joined Cloud9 last September after finishing his casting career to build an international CS:GO. Apparently, the organization had a lot of faith in the project, which received the “Colossus” name – they were willing to spend a lot of money on their roster, while the manager was open about all transfer details. For example, Patrick "es3tag" Hansen was acquired from Astralis for $2,100,000.
Despite all the efforts, the team never managed to live up to the expectations, with its biggest achievement being the 3rd – 4th finish at BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Snowdown. This March the roster was disbanded after placing 17th – 20th at ESL Pro League 13, with all players being put on transfer. The organization explained that the team was not able to gather on a bootcamp due to travel restrictions, claiming it to be the main reason of dissatisfactory results. The organization also temporarily ceased their CS:GO division and will return to the scene once conditions return to normal.
