DPC 2021 EU: Liquid Qualifies for the Major over OG

Liquid have become the last team from the European region to qualify for ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021. The team has won the tiebreakers for the fourth place in group and qualified for the majors Wild Card stage.

After the regular season, three teams – Team Liquid, OG and Tundra Esports – had the same 3-4 map score. The tiebreakers featured two round rounds – in the first round each of the teams won a map, while in the second round Liquid managed to outplay both OG and Tundra.

The upper division of DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU was played from January 19th to February 28th, featuring eight teams competing in a round-robin group. The event’s strongest team – Secret – have advanced directly to the major’s playoffs stage, while the team from the second place – Alliance – qualified for the group stage. Meanwhile Team Nigma and Team Liquid, who placed 3rd and 4th respectively, will compete in the Wild Card stage.

ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 is a LAN-event scheduled for March 27th – April 4th that will feature 18 teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool.
