ESL Cancel LAN-events DreamHack Open Atlanta and DreamHack Open Winter
ESL have posted an update on their CS:GO series Pro Tour. Two LAN events, DreamHack Open Atlanta and DreamHack Open Winter, which were scheduled for November 12th – 14th and November 26th – 28th respectively, have been cancelled. The organizers claim that the schedule has become too overwhelming, causing challenges to plan online qualifications and tournaments.
To fill in the gap, ESL plan to organize another event on November 23rd – 28th – currently there are no details on the tournament, even its name remains unrevealed. There are other changes to the schedule, too: DreamHack Open 47, which was initially planned to be played in October, has been rescheduled to November and will be held online in Europe. This European event and the upcoming DreamHack Open September tournaments in North America, South America and Oceania will allow teams to qualify for the unannounced November competition.
Thus, the remaining Pro Tour schedule looks as follows:
- September 22th – 26th: DreamHack Open 46 (North America, South America, Oceania)
- November 10th – 14th: DreamHack Open 47 (Europe)
- November 23rd – 28th: TBA
Besides the ESL events, this year the CS:GO scene will also feature a handful of BLAST Premier events, as well as PGL Major Stockholm in late October – early November.
