ESL One Fall with $400,000 at Stake Announced

Yet another Dota 2 event has been announced for August to fill the void in the schedule due to the postponement of The International 10. This time it is no other than ESL, who are going to organize a $400,000 event by the end of the month.

While scheduled for August 21st – 29th, the event is confusingly called ESL One Fall – probably because ESL One Summer already happened in June. Just like last time, the tournament’s line-up will include 12 teams. However, the organizers have not specified any other details of the event, promising to share more information soon. Should the Fall event follow the example of the Summer one, we will see nine invited teams and three qualifiers winners competing in a double-elimination bracket.

Until recently, this August was reserved for The International 10, however the event was postponed to October and moved from Stockholm to Bucharest. Taking the opportunity, third-party tournament operators are announcing their online events for this period. For example, the ongoing D2CL 2 will run through August 8th, while recently Beyond the Summit announced the seventh season of BTS Pro Series, which will be played in Southeast Asia on July 27th – August 22nd and in the Americas on August 4th – 22nd.
