ESL Pro League Season 15 to be Held on LAN
ESL have announced that the upcoming fifteenth season of ESL Pro League will be held as a LAN event, the first since the beginning of the pandemic. Although initially the event was supposed to take place in Malta, now the company plans to organize it somewhere in Germany without specifying a concrete location.
The tournament is still scheduled for March 9th – May 10th. It will begin with a group stage, where twenty four teams will compete in four round-robin groups. The teams have been seeded as follows:
- Group A (March 9 – 13): G2, NiP, Entropiq, Fnatic, MOUZ, LFO
- Group B (March 16 – 20): Vitality, VP, FaZe, FURIA, ENCE, Sprout
- Group C (March 23 – 27): Gambit, Liquid, GODSENT, BIG, Movistar, Astronauts
- Group D (March 30 – April 3): NAVI, Heroic, Astralis, Complexity, EG, AGO
The groups will determine twelve participants of the playoffs stage, which will follow a single-elimination bracket. The winners of the group will advance directly to the quarterfinals, while the teams placed 2nd and 3rd will start from the Round of 12.
ESL Pro League Season 15 features a $823,000 prize pool. Besides that, the winner of the tournament will also qualify for BLAST World Final 2022.
