G2 Wins IEM Dallas, Earns Spot at IEM Cologne 2024

The Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 concluded on the evening of June 2. In the tournament finals, G2 Esports and Team Vitality competed for the championship title.

Both finalists began the tournament in Group A, where Team Vitality defeated G2 Esports in the upper bracket match (13:6, 13:5), sending NiKo's team to the lower bracket. On their way to the playoff quarterfinals, G2 Esports defeated MOUZ (2:1) and Team Liquid (2:1).

Team Vitality lost to 9z Team in the Group A finals with a score of 0:2, which also led them to start the playoffs from the quarterfinals.

On their way to the playoff finals, G2 Esports defeated FaZe Clan (2:0) and 9z Team (2:0), while Team Vitality triumphed over HEROIC (2:0) and Team Spirit (2:0).

The Best-of-3 final at IEM Dallas began with G2 Esports winning in double overtime on their map pick, Inferno. Team Vitality equalized the series in overtime on Anubis (16:13). The decisive map, Nuke, saw G2 Esports emerge victorious in a tight contest (13:8).

For their victory, G2 Esports received $100,000 and an invitation to Intel Extreme Masters Cologne 2024.

IEM Cologne 2024 will take place in Germany from August 7 to 18, with a prize pool of $1,000,000.
