Evil Geniuses Present their Coaching Staff for LCS 2021

The North American esports club Evil Geniuses, who completed their line-up for the next season in early December, have announced two additions to their LCS coaching staff – they are Brandon "Mash" Phan and Gabriel "Turtle" Peixoto.

Turtle is a 26-years-old former Brazilian player, who switched to coaching in 2018, working with CNB e-Sports Club and Keyd Stars. Meanwhile for Mash, a 26-years-old Canadian, this will be the first coaching experience – he spent the previous season playing for FlyQuest’s main and academy rosters.

On top of that, EG’s coaching staff will also include Connor "Artemis" Doyle, who has been promoted from an assistant coaching role to a strategic coach position, and Peter "Peter Dun" Dun, who was signed earlier in November to become the team’s head coach.

Evil Geniuses have reopened their League of Legends division in 2019, by acquiring the LCS slot from Echo Fox. The team placed 3rd in the spring split, however finished 5-6th in the summer split and failed to qualify for World Championship. During the offseason the team parted ways with Tristan "Zeyzal" Stidam, Greyson "Goldenglue" Gilmer, Bae "Bang" Jun-sik and Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon. The organization also acquired Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun from FlyQuest, as well as promoted Matthew "Deftly" Chen from their academy team.

LCS will return already in January with a Lock-In stage – it is scheduled for January 15 – 30th and will feature a $150,000 prize pool.
