FaZe to Start IEM Katowice without Ropz

FaZe Clan player Robin "ropz" Kool has been tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss the start of IEM Katowice. He will be in quarantine until February 19th, thus the player will miss the Play-In stage and the majority of the tournament’s group stage, should FaZe made it to that stage.

22-years-old Estonian player ropz, who is known for his 4-years tenure with mousesports, joined FaZe Clan just a month ago. With them he already managed to win the recent BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022. There the team placed first in Group C and later defeated BIG (2-1) in the Play-In Finals.

Now FaZe Clan are set to compete in the Play-In stage of IEM Katowice, which is scheduled for February 15th – 16th. In their first match they will face Sprout. Should they make it through the stage, the team will compete in the Group Stage that will be played from February 17th to 20th.

It remains unknown who will replace ropz. The team’s benched member Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer Gustafsson has already announced that he will not be able to stand-in for ropz as he is traveling to New York.
