FLASHPOINT 3: Heroic Eliminated, Mouz Advances to Grand Finals

The European RMR-event Flashpoint Season 3 has reached its final stages. In yesterday’s first match, which was the upper bracket final, mousesports managed to defeat G2 Esports with a 2-0 score (16:10 at Inferno, 16:13 at Nuke) – as of now the team has not lost a single map at the event.

Later Heroic surprisingly lost to Ninjas in Pyjamas in the fifth round of the lower bracket – not only they have been showing impressive level of play during the event, it was their first loss to NiP in almost a year. Heroic managed to win their pick, Nuke (16:10). At NiP’s pick, Overpass, the team’s played two overtimes, and eventually the map ended with a 22:19 score. At the final map, Mirage, Heroic lost with a 8-16 score, being able to win only one round on the CT side.

Today the event will feature two series. First, Team Vitality will play with Double Poney (5:00 PM BST) for the seventh place at the event. Later tonight G2 will face NiP (8:00 PM) in the lower bracket finale – earlier these teams played against each other in the upper bracket 3rd round, with G2 winning 2-1.

The grand final between mousesports and the winner of the lower bracket is scheduled for May 30th, 8:00 PM. The winner of the best-of-three series will receive $17,000 and 1600 RMR points, while the runner-up will get $10,000 and 1500 points.
