Fnatic Bench Golden, More Changes to Follow

Fnatic have revealed that Maikil "Golden" Kunda Selim will no longer be playing for their CS:GO roster. The player has been benched and allowed to look for a new team. The organization is not satisfied with the team’s recent results and is looking to announce additional roster changes in the near future.

Golden, who is now 27-years-old, started his career in the Fnatic’s academy team in 2016, spending with them an entire year and later being promoted to the team’s main squad. After being benched by Fnatic in the middle of 2018, the player travelled to North America to compete for Cloud9. In late 2019 he returned to Fnatic and helped the team to win ESL Pro League 11: Europe and place 3rd at Flashpoint Season 2.

This year Fnatic have been heavily underperforming – since February they managed to win only 4 out of 18 played matches. Few months ago the team brought in a 18-years-old Peppe "Peppzor" Borak as a sixth player. However, he has not played a single official match with the team.

Fnatic:

  • Freddy "KRIMZ" Johansson
  • Jesper "JW" Wecksell
  • Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin
  • Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattson
  • Peppe "Peppzor" Borak (substitute)
  • Andreas "Samuelsson" Samuelsson (coach)
  • Maikil "Golden" Kunda Selim (benched)
