GODSENT Sold their Entire CS:GO Roster
The Swedish esports club GODSENT has announced that the entire of their CS:GO squad has been transferred to “another big international esports organization”. Although it has not been confirmed, the roster is expected to end up in the Chinese organization FunPlux Phoenix.
The transfer includes four players – Jesse "zehN" Linjala, Martin "STYKO" Styk, Pavle "maden" Bošković, and Asger "farlig" Jensen, as well as their coach Jonatan "Devilwalk" Lundberg. Most of them have been playing together since September 2019, initially representing SMASH Esports. GODSENT signed the team in November 2019, making only one roster change, replacing Mikail "Maikelele" Bill with Asger "farlig" Jensen in May. Last year the team placed 7th at ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe and 5th at cs_summit 6 Online: Europe, as well as finished 3rd – 4th at GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2020.
Earlier in December Petar "peca" Marković, who was appointed as the General Manager of FunPlus Phoenix CS:GO division in September, revealed that his organization reached a preliminary agreement with GODSENT to buy their roster. Earlier this week GODSENT announced the departure of Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend, who was acquired by ALTERNATE aTTaX.
Earlier this month the Brazilian news portal baserus has reported that GODSENT are looking to sign a Brazilian squad formed by former MIBR coach Ricardo "dead" Sinigaglia, which will include Epitácio "TACO" de Melo and João "felps" Vasconcellos, as well as three young lesser known Brazilian players.
