HAVU Defeat AGO In Snow Sweet Snow 2 Grand Finals
The second iteration of the online CS:GO event Snow Sweet Snow has concluded with HAVU Gaming defeating AGO with a 2-0 score. The tournament’s winner received $47,000 in prize money, while the runner-up received $7,000.
Both HAVU and AGO managed to qualify for the event trough the regional competition. In the tournament’s main Swiss stage HAVU placed with a 3-0 score, while AGO finished third with a 3-1 score. On their way to the grand finals, HAVU outplayed Anonymo Esports (2-0), Sprout (2-1) and Winstrike Team (2-1). In the grand finals the Finnish team won on Nuke (16:8) and Mirage (16:11).
Playoffs Bracket:
Snow Sweet Snow #2 was played from February 15th to March 10th, featuring 44 teams competing in four stages for a $100,000 prize pool. Interestingly enough, all teams invited directly to the playoffs quarterfinals – Sprout, Cloud9, Gambit and Ninjas in Pyjamas – lost their very first series to those who made it through the qualifying stages.
