MIBR Reveal New Roster with Four Players from BOOM
The Brazilian esports organization MIBR has presented a brand-new CS:GO roster. The roster includes four players from BOOM Esports – Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes, Gustavo "yel" Knittel, Bruno "shz" Martinelli, and Ricardo "boltz" Prass, as well as their coach Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci. The final member of the team is Daniel "danoco" Morgado, who earlier represented Sharks Esports.
Chelo, Yel, Shz and boltz have been playing together at least from 2019, initially representing INTZ Esports, and later transitioned to BOOM Esports in last year’s February. They have been on a winning streak since April 2020 – despite not taking part in any premier events, the team managed to win nine local events in a row, among which are ESL One: Road to Rio – South America and ESL Pro League 12: South America.
MIBR have not had a stable roster since last September, when the team’s management decided to bench Fernando "fer" Alvarenga and Epitácio "TACO" de Melo, which resulted in the team’s longstanding captain Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo requesting to bench him as well. Since then the team has been playing with multiple replacements, placing 5-8th at BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown and finishing 4th at Flashpoint Season 2.
The beginning of the new season will be action-packed for MIBR, as the team is expected to partake in cs_summit 7 (January 25th – 31st), BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021 (February 4th – 14th) and IEM XV – World Championship (February 16th – 28th).
