NAVI’s Boombl4 Tests Positive for COVID Ahead of IEM Katowice

Natus Vincere’s in-game leader Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov has been tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the team’s debut at IEM Katowice 2022. Currently the player is isolated in a separate room and feels well, so he will compete for the team during the group stage.

NAVI are one of the eight teams that start their run at IEM Katowice from its playoffs stage. The team, which by many is considered the favorite of the entire event, was seeded into Group B. Their debut match is scheduled for February 18th, 11:30 AM UK time. There they will face ENCE.

The Ukrainian organization is not the only one experiencing issues related to COVID – earlier Complexity and TyLoo were forced to withdraw from the event, while some teams like FaZe and MOUZ compete with stand-ins.
