NAVI Defeat Astralis to Win BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020
Natus Vincere have become the champions of BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 after defeating Astralis in the tournament’s grand finals with the 2-0 score. The winners have claimed $600,000 in prize money, which is by far the biggest prize figure in the team’s history.
After losing to Team Liquid (0-2) in their first match, NAVI managed to make it all the way through the lower bracket, where they defeated Complexity (2-1), G2 Esports (2-0), Liquid (2-0) and Team Vitality.
In the grand finals NAVI emerged victorious at both Nuke (16:12) and Inferno (16:5). As both teams currently have six players in their rosters, Astralis played with Bubzkji replacing Xyp9x on the first map, while NAVI replaced flamie with B1t on the second map.

For Natus Vincere, this is the first victory at a premier event since last March, when they emerged victorious at IEM XIV – World Championship . In the previous two events – IEM XV – Global Challenge and BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 – they were eliminated by Astralis, placing 3rd – 4th and 4th respectively.
BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020 was played from January 19th to 24th, featuring eight teams competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool. The prize pool has been distributed among the participants as follows:
- 1st – $600,000 – Natus Vincere
- 2nd – $200,000 – Astralis
- 3rd– $80,000 – Team Vitality
- 4th – $50,000 – Team Liquid
- 5th-6th – $20,000 – EG, G2
- 7th-8th – $15,000 – FURIA, Complexity
