Nitr0 Departs 100 Thieves amidst Rumours of his Return to CSGO
100 Thieves have announced that Nicholas "nitr0" Cannella is no longer part of their VALORANT roster. While the player has not revealed his plans for the future yet, there are widespread rumours that the former CS:GO player might return to his original discipline.
26-years-old Nitr0 has been playing for 100 Thieves since last summer, when he left Team Liquid and retired from CS:GO. During this time the team managed to win several online events, namely First Strike North America and VCT 2021: NA Stage 2 Challengers 1, however they were unable to get enough points to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2021 and finished 3rd in the qualifier. Since then 100 Thieves started to rebuild their roster and already parted ways with five members of the team.
According to 1pv sources, n1tro might end up returning to Liquid’s CS:GO roster, for which he played from 2015 to 2020. The team has not been able to live up to its potential for quite some time and there are widespread rumours that next year multiple players will depart from the roster, among which are Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, Jacky "Stewie2K" Yip and Michael "Grim" Wince.
