PGC 2021 Grand Finals Won by Chinese Team NewHappy
The main PUBG event of the year – PUBG Global Championship 2021 – has concluded. The first place at the event was secured by a Chinese team NewHappy, who secured over $1,370,000 in prize money.
NewHappy were able to qualify for PGC Grand Finals by winning the summer season of the Chinese PUBG Champions League 2021. At the world championship, they managed to place 8th in the Weekly Finals stage with 142 points. Meanwhile in the Grand Finals they placed first with 159 total points and 98 kills, thus beating Heroic (155; 102) and Virtus.pro (105;62).
PGC 2021 – Grand Finals was held from November 19th to December 19th in Incheon, South Korea, with Chinese teams competing remotely. Thanks to in-game sales, the tournament’s prize pool reached $4,340,000.
