PGL Major Antwerp: Imperial, BNE, and Liquid Secure Last Places in the Legends Stage
The first Challengers Stage of PGL Major Antwerp 2022 has concluded. In its final matches, Liquid defeated Astralis (2-0), BNE managed to upset MIBR (2-1), while forZe lost to Imperial (0-2). The winners have become the final three participants of the next Legends Stage. The stage’s results are following:
3-0: G2 Esports, Team Vitality
3-1: ENCE, Team Spirit, Outsiders
3-2: Imperial Esports, Bad News Eagles, Team Liquid
2-3: forZe, Astralis, MIBR
1-3: Complexity, Eternal Fire, IHC Esports
0-3: 9z, Renegades
The best eight teams of the first stage will continue the competition tomorrow, May 14th, in the Legends stage, where they will fight in another Swiss group with the leaders of the RMR-events, among which are Heroic, CPHF, BIG, Cloud9, FURIA, FaZe, NiP, and NAVI. The pairs for the first round are as follows (UK time):
- 11:00 AM – Heroic vs Liquid; CPHF vs BNE
- 12:15 PM – NiP vs Vitality; C9 vs Outsiders
- 1:30 PM – FaZe vs ENCE; FURIA vs Spirit
- 2:45 PM – NAVI vs G2; BIG vs Imperial
PGL Major Antwerp 2022 takes place in Belgium and features a $1,000,000 prize pool. The tournament will conclude at Antwerps Sportpaleis on May 22nd, with its winner claiming half of the prize money.
