RpK to Leave Team Vitality after BLAST Spring Showdown

The French organization Team Vitality has announced that Cédric "RpK" Guipouy will depart their CS:GO squad after the completion of the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown 2021. His place will be taken by Jayson "Kyojin" Nguyen Van.

31-years-old RpK has been playing for Team Vitality since late 2018 and helped them to win EPICENTER 2019 and ECS 1 Finals. The team started this season by placing 3rd at BLAST Premier: Global Final 2020, however later their results went downhill. The official announcement reads that “the team is facing some difficulties and we need to find a new pace”. The player will take a break after the event and will consider what to do next.

Kyojin is a 22-years-old player, who is new to the professional scene. Earlier his account received a VAC-ban, however eventually it was reversed – this month the player announced that he was eligible to participate in VALVE-sponsored events.

This Thursday Vitality will start competing at a $162,000 event BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021 – in their first series they will face 9z Team. Learn more about the event from our recent article.
