T1 have announced the new carry player of their Dota 2 roster – it is a 18-years-old Thai player Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon. He will take the place of Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong, who was released yesterday.
23savage has been competing on the professional level since 2018 – he is mostly known for his one-year tenure with Fnatic (2019 – 2020), with whom he won DOTA Summit 12 and the SEA divisions of BTS Pro Series 1, ESL One LA 2020 and ESL One Birmingham 2020. Yesterday he became the first player in the game’s history to reach 12,000 MMR.
Earlier T1 placed 3rd in the upper division of DPC 2021 Season 1: SEA, thus advancing to the major’s Wild Card stage and getting 200 DPC points. However, the team has lost 20% of these points due to making a roster change outside of the transfer period, and will get 20% less points for their placement at the major.
