Team Empire and NoTechies Qualified to the Upper Division of ESL One DPC CIS Season 1

The Decider Tournament for the first season of the CIS regional DPC league has concluded with Team Empire, NoTechies, EXTREMUM and NoPangolier qualifying for the upper division.

The qualified teams will compete with Virtus.pro, Natus Vincere, Team Spirit and Live to Win, who earlier received direct invites. The upper division will be played between January 21st – February 26th, where the participants competing in a single group with round-robin format and best-of-three series. The best three teams will qualify for this year’s first major event. Besides that, the upper bracket features $205,000 in prize money and 1,150 DPC points up for grabs.

Simultaneously with the first upper division, there will also be the lower division with $75,000 at stake. The line-up will consists of four participants of the Decider Tournament, among which are B8, Winstrike Team, HellRaisers and Gambit Esports, as well as four winners of the open qualifiers. The best two teams of the lower division will be promoted to the second season’s upper division. Both divisions will be hosted by ESL.

Earlier we reported on the European first DPC event, where the upper division will feature Liquid, OG, Secret, Nigma, Vikin.gg, Alliance, mudoglems and Chicken Fighters competing for four places in the major, as well as $205,000 and 1,150 DPC points.
