Twelve Teams Advance to the Grand Finals of PGS 2021

The Weekly Finals stage of PUBG Global Championship 2021 has concluded, determining twelve participants of the tournament’s grand finale. Among them are the winners of the weeks – Team Liquid, Gen.G Esports and KPI Gaming, as well as nine teams with the highest amount of accumulated points: Virtus.pro (163 points), CHIBLI (157), Heroic (151), NAVI (146), NewHappy (142), Xsset (133), Spacestation (128), Danawa (127), and ENCE (126).

Currently the only team eliminated from the event is the Vietnamese team BN United. The rest of the teams still have a chance to qualify for the final stage. This Thursday, December 16th, the event will feature its Grand Survival stage – there, the teams who have not qualified for the grand finals will compete in four rounds. The winner of each will advance to the grand finals.

The Grand Finals of PGS 2021 is scheduled for December 17th – 19th and will consist of 15 rounds. The team with the highest amount of points will be declared this year’s World Champion of PUBG.

PUBG Global Championship 2021 is being played in the Korean city of Incheon, with Chinese teams competing remotely via Internet connection. The initial prize pool is set at $2,000,000; it will be increased through in-game sales.
