Unified from PSG Talon to Miss Mid-Season Invitational 2021
A Hong Kong team PSG Talon has announced that their AD carry player Wong "Unified" Chun Kit will not be able to participate in the upcoming MSI 2021 due to health problems. The player will be replaced by Chiu "Doggo" Tzu-Chuan, on loan from Beyond Gaming.
PSG Talon revealed that Unified has been suffering from breathing problems for the last few months and recently was hospitalized. The organization and the player’s doctors discussed a possibility of an air travel, however collectively decided that Unified should stay home.
The team’s stand-in Doggo is a 18-years-old player from Taiwan, who since February has been playing for Beyond Gaming. In the region’s league PCS Spring 2021 they placed second after losing to PSG Talon twice.
MSI 2021 will be played on May 6th – 23rd in Reykjavík, Iceland. PSG Talon have been assigned to Group B, where they will play alongside MAD Lions, Istanbul Wildcats and paiN Gaming. Earlier RIOT Games revealed that the VCS representatives GAM Esports wouldn’t be able to participate in the event due to travel restrictions.
