WePlay AniMajor: Liquid and Beastcoast Eliminated after the Group Stage
The group stage of WePlay AniMajor has concluded. Two teams – Spirit and Liquid – finished the stage with the second worse 5-9 map score. Thus, these teams participated in a tiebreaker, where Spirit emerged victorious and advanced to the lower bracket.
Meanwhile Team Liquid have been eliminated from the event alongside beastcoast, who finished last with a 3-11 score. The eliminated teams placed 13th and 14th and received neither prize money nor DPC points.
Besides Team Spirit, another three teams – Vici Gaming (8-6), Evil Geniuses (7-7), and TNC Predator (7-7) – advanced to the lower bracket. Meanwhile the leaders of the group stage – PSG.LGD (11-3) and Team Nigma (10-4) – will play in the upper bracket alongside champions of the local DPC leagues, among which are Alliance, Aster, T1, Virtus.pro, Quincy Crew and NoPing e-sports.
